Valentine's Day

What a fun day we had on Valentine's Day. We started out our party playing Valentine Bingo. After that we had our snack of Cherry or Rootbeer Floats. YUM.

Next we sorted candy hearts according to color. After they were all sorted, we signed our name on the color paper that matched the color hearts that we had the most of.

And finally we were able to open our Valentines. They were stored in the bags we decorated yesterday.

Talia sure found a comfortable place to open hers. :)

Yep - I was a little partial to Keelin's bag.

Maple Grove Firefighters Visit Kindergarten

Firefighter Chad and Firefighter Ryan came and taught us about good fires and bad fires, tools and toys, and Stop Drop and Roll. Then we saw Firefighter Ryan put all of his gear on. They talked to us about being safe in a fire. Our homework was to talk to our families about an escape plan from our homes and to check our smoke detectors. What a great day in Kindergarten!

Guess what? It's still Firefighter Ryan in there. He's not scary.

RAD Zoo

What a fun day seeing lots of different reptiles and amphibians. We even were able to touch them....if we wanted to.

More Fabric Pictures

One of the experiments we did was to stain and wash fabric. We all agreed afterward that if you use soap, the stain is more likely to disappear. Parents - we are ready to help with the wash. Ha...

Here we are hanging our fabric up to dry.

Next we tried weaving fabric. It was tricky but we did great!
